Short video including the grand finale of the Baton Rouge Mississippi River Levee Fireworks on July 4th 2011
Turns out the Horace Wilkinson ("New") Bridge is a GREAT place to view the fireworks at the levee without the crowds... We were stopped almost still in traffic on the bridge and had an amazing view. No traffic problems getting back home either. Traffic cleared immediately after the fireworks stopped.
Another good "secret" place to try is the abandoned Municipal Dock South of the new bridge on the BR side. Check it out sometime!
