1200 Miles to a tank 2005.5 Jetta TDI

It is possible to reach 1200+ miles to a tank in a 2005.5 Jetta TDI, notice with 140 miles already on the tank then computer reads 1150 miles to empty

The only problem with this is that those numbers will drop rapidly if you even remotely engage the turbo and go over 2.5-3k rpms. You CAN achieve those numbers for a short period of time but you will not end up with 1200 miles when the tank is done.When I fill mine up I start at 760 and gradually climb up to around 950 but as soon as I engage the turbo, BAM i'm down to about 850. If you could constantly go around 20 mph you might reach 1200 miles but other then that i don't think so.

I was excited when I had 245 miles on my tank and my TDI's display said I had 455 more to go... but this, this is insane!

35 is city mph hear what gear is that and i want one for gas mileage if there not to sluggish

I want to see more of these...makes me think about buying diesel over hybrid....which you have to think about replacing battery after 100k
