The Beginning of the word Hope and because it's only the Beginning was originally devised as the first part of a three-part performance with recorded and live dance, presented at The Cochrane Theatre in London in 2003. It was later made into an independant Short Film and exhibited in this form.

Performed by Sarah Markou.

"I wanted to represent loss; To do this by creating an absence. By exploring the contradiction in this and by portraying a house in the process of lossing all trace of home. I looked to the work 'Nadja' by Andre Breton and to Eric Satie's the Gymnopédies and worked site specifically with the most familiar building I knew." alys
