I'm having the same problems. Whats even worst is that they replaced my motherboard but now the warranty is expired so I can't get it replace it again.
Do not buy a dell, they you'll get shitty service and hardware problems up the ass.

My M1330 still works like a charm after 16 months of use

Not really Dell's problem , Nvidia mobile chips all have a flaw in them. Dell , HP , Sony , Apple all having the same issues.
Actually think Dell have the best support.

its nvidia problem

I have the m1330, no problems yet, but I also had the A12 BIOS and not the A14, so hopefully it will be ok for a while...But I love this little laptop, so powerful

I got a nVidia GeForce 8400M GS video card in my laptop, and it's working properly.. for now. I have a Hewlett-Packard though.

I got exactly the same problem a $2,000 laptop, I've been doing a lot of research and i think the problems is a faulty GPU chipset video card, nvidia knew about this problem but they denied all along, I just join a class lawsuit against this company. conclusion: I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DELL OR NVIDIA PRODUCT IN MY LIFE.
how long did your laptop works

circa 6 months, and the next motherboard swap is in two days (on thuesday 7. october 2008), due to the first new signs of the next GPU failure. The GPU is working "yet" except it has sometimes small screen drawing errors again.

It's not a failure of Dell, instead it's a failure of NVidia. See the "All Nvidia G84 and G86s are bad" article on the INQUIRER

And it was not a driver problrem, because this was happen alao in other operating systems (win, linux, bsd, skyos), and even, if i was only in the BIOS setup for a long time.

No it was not overclocked. But it seems to be a common problem with the M1330, sse similar M1330 issue videos here at youtube.
