When bass fishing on a river, use a spinnerbait to cover water and locate fish.

  • Hi. I throw jig-n-pig and carolina rigged lures with a Shimano Citica. A bit slower gear ratio on the reel is helpful for jigs and soft plastics. For buzzbaits, spinnerbaits and lipless cranks, I like the Shimano Curados with at least a 6:1 gear ratio. Faster is even better. For slow rolling cranks and spinnerbaits, the slower ratio reels are better. Thanks!

  • Great Vid. Im new to baitcasters.. So I was wondering what type of baitcasting set up would you recomend if it were to handle slow lures(jigs, weedless worms, tubes) to fast lures(spinner baits, buzz baits)?
