Haha nope, don't want to play with it but I like all kinds of critters including insects and spiders! To be perfectly honest, we humans are also pretty dang cool don't you think!

@TruthatCearcie The Spider looks like a variety of Orb Weaver, which is the typical very large garden spider of the region. Some make large open webs, and some use the leaves of plants to make dens. I searched key words: "arachnids southern california garden" to find some info and was taken to " nathistoc(dot)bio(dot)uci(dot)
