How NOT to do it! Be more organised - have your glasses ON, use proper, authentic materials that match the period of the peice - if you do it this way you can knock value off of a genuine antique piece. Shockingly bad finish - then he says 'a casual observer won't notice the patch' , he knew it was a bad job, and I think they would notice - you couldn't miss it!
