@gerisaar Actually, Clapton recommended Jimmy Page but he declined and recommended Jeff Beck. Clapton left the band because they were going to a more pop oriented sound and he was more interested the original blues sound. But if I am mistaken about Clapton's and Beck's relationship, then I retract that comment. Have a great New Year!!!
