  • @vexer101 Also, your military is already using a .22 caliber round, the .223. It's exactly the same diameter as the .22LR, but has a larger casing, and thus more powder, distance and penetration, and it's a centerfire. Using a rimfire is a bad idea all around for self defense or combat, because they're unreliable and lead to jams due to the fanning of the cartridges when they're stacked in a magazine.

  • @vexer101 More people die from .22's than from .40's. Ask any police officer. They're especially deadly because they change direction after entering the body and often don't exit. They're not good for combat for obvious reasons, so don't be a douchebag.

  • @wc4pwned I didn't know a .22 was just as deadly as a .40. I don't understand why we don't just outfit our millitary with the best Marlin .22s money can buy. Get 500 rounds for $20. Save so much money we could probably clear the countries debt.

  • @Sebhelyesfarku thanks

  • @txm4gunnut ..I think you are probably right to a certain degree, especially now with advanced bullet designs, but I stll think people are better off shooting a 230 grain hollow point versus a lighter bullet for self defence. Big and slow is better than small and fast in my opinion, but anything is better than nothing, so shoot what you got.

  • @vachief your talking ball ammo vs hollow points, of course the entry and exit wounds will be different. they have done ballistics test showing that there really is no difference between, 9mm, 40, and 45 when using the same type of ammo as far as entry and exit wounds.

  • @wc4pwned ...The troops in Iraq and Afganistan say you're wrong. That is why the .45 was develped for the Phillipine Rebellion, the .38s had no stopping power. The 9mm leaves a much smaller hole than .40 or .45 and over-penetrates at hand gun distance. That is SWAT teams use the .45acp. I would rather get shot with 9mm ball ammo that some thug bought at Walmart than a .45 Golden Saber any day of the week.
