Katzcradul cooks her legendary pot roast. While many cooks thicken a gravy after their roast is cooked, Katzcradul cooks her roast 'in' a pre-thickened gravy that is started with a roux. The gravy is golden brown, sumptuous, and perfectly smooth.

  • I just put everything into the oven. I didn't change a thing, made it exactly like you and you are soo right, its soo easy. I tasted the gravy before i placed it in the oven and it is the most flavorful gravy i ever tasted. And like you said, no need to add beef broth. I can only imagine how good it is going to be when its done. Most of the time ppl can really have overkill making pot roast adding too many things. This is now my recipe for life.Thank you very much. Please post more videos.

  • @CremeBurlee1 Come back and let me know how it turned out when it was done. Can't wait to hear.

  • I made a decision Instead of using beef stock i'm going to make it exactly like yours, it looks wayyy too good....

  • @CremeBurlee1 Let me know how it come out. You don't really need additional beef stock...the roast will create it's own 'stock'. Good luck!

  • @allendg1983 I was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. I know New Iberia!

  • @katzcradul Thanks! I can't wait to try! BTW, I'm from New Iberia, LA and I know the value of a roux!!

  • I just scarfed down my roast, and i can now say it is the best pot roast i ever ate. It turned out picture perfect like yours. I now know you don't need all those root vegetables and beef borth ppl put in for flavor, the flavor is already there in the roast. Unbelievable how simple and yet the best flavorful, tender meat. So no more searching for the best pot roast videos for me, i found it.. Thx again.

  • Can you add beef stock instead of water, or will it change the taste or make it too salty? I'm making this tomorrow, this looks sooo delicious.

  • @allendg1983 You could put potatoes in without a problem. I'd add a little more water though. Yum.

  • Can I cook it that same way and put potatoes in the pot like 2/3 of the way through? Or is the gravy too thick for that?
