I knew Geoff Deemer (the oboe player) for a long time. We both are from the same town, I played oboe as well, and on several occasions, we played together in different ensembles. Mostly my junior/senior years of high school (he was in 7th-8th grade at the time, and even then, he was a really good player). I went to college and majored in music, but eventually hated it, and haven't played for well over a decade now.
