Pascal Toussaint lives and sings in Paris. He made his U.S. solo show debut February 28, 2010 at the jazz club Yoshi's in San Francisco. The first show sold out quickly after he sang on radio. A second show also sold out immediately. He is a male sopranist whose range spans four octaves. He studied at the Conservatoire in Paris and sings everything from Jazz to Soul, Rock, Opera, Gospel, Pop and Rock.

We came across Pascal [Horn] Toussaint in Paris at the historic cabaret Aux Trois Mailletz. He has a rare voice, that of a male soprano. He sings with a full chest voice, not in falsetto. He was born in the French West Indies, won a talent contest at age 14, and went to study at the Paris Conservatoire. He later sang with Paris Opera and other opera houses throughout the world. He also sings rock, jazz, gospel, standards --everything. When I first heard him, i was blown away not just by the timbre of his voice and technique, but by also the emotional power. He is unknown in the US. That will change. On Feb 28, 2010, he makes his debut with a solo show on the stage of a great jazz venue, Yoshi's in San Francisco.

This video was a rehearsal for a radio show done in Oct 2009. The pianist is jazz great Joshua Brody, who had never played this song before but volunteered to be of service. Sorry for the quality of the video. It was taken on my iPhone. I am not an recording producer, just a fan.

He has a naturally very high tenor chest voice. You can hear it. He doesn't break into his 'head' voice, like falsetto or operatic.

This guy can absolutely without a doubt sing- however, his image needs to be changed a bit just for aesthetic purposes and he could do very well and go very far.
