What would all of you people criticizing Bush's reaction liked him to do in this scenario. I'm not a Bush supporter by any means whatsoever. I think he is a total idiot and ran your country into the ground. But it's not like he could just jump up screaming and push a bunch of kids out of the way on his way out the door. And what exactly would he have done even if he had got up and immediately left? Wave his magic hand and reverse the devastating event that had just happened? Grow a brain people

@bigglessy If my parents were badly hurt I would not sit and my ass and process it. I would be running to see what really happening and perhaps yes, ask the doctors to do their best. Terrible comparison I have to say. He didnt know the full extent of what was happening with a quick whisper in the ear. @BARRINGTON2000 If you get told that your parents had been badly hurt in a car accident, is your first reaction to jump up and run around commanding doctors to treat them immediately? No, you take a moment to process what's happening.

Now imagine you got told that terrorists have attacked your country, and have killed thousands of people. No-one can take that kind of stuff easily. I realise bush was a complete twit, but in this case he made the right choice of how to exit.

People probably were waiting for his permission to also take actions. I think it was silly to sit there. No American President makes all decisions themselves they have advisors and such like who tell them pretty much what to do. He should have gone to work not sat there.
