Finless - Paris Longboarding

It was late summer, warm but the leafs begin to drop from the trees. The streets of paris - filled with thousands of little details, cafés, restaurants and people - were colored into red and brown.

To be honest, paris aint "the" place for classic longboarding. There are almost no hills besides the steep & narrow montmartre and everywhere are cars that want to kill you, as you put a foot on the street.

But you get a different feel for spots, and the way you ride. Its not about the thrill of speed, not about the next crossstep or kickflip... its more the feel of the city that is blowing your mind.

In the end, it was a perfect longboardtrip in its own way - with the best food, nice people and great art in every corner.

I am not a young male, nor have I ever been. I've never touched a skateboard and didn't know what the hell a longboard was until less than a year ago. I've never been to Paris (beyond the airport) and I'd never heard this song nor heard of it nor heard of Patrick Watson until tonight. Despite all of this, a part of me swears that this video has a whole lot to do with my own experience. And it's exhilarating. Thank you.
