Finally, a real trailer for this one! Looks very promising! People like to rag on remakes, (not me, I'll take 12) but revivals are a whole different deal really!The great thing about this new Splatterhouse, (don't call it 4) is that it fleshes out the story that the original game always wanted to tell.

The only thing that bothers me is that there's a rumor floating around that BottleRocket (Mark of Kri, Rise of the Kasai) is being shut down, and that the "Afro Samurai team" is taking over... suffice it to say that I am not pleased about this. Sometimes acts like that are justified, (like for the horrible Castlevania that was canceled for Dreamcast) but whatever the reason, I say let the team finish the damn game before you go screwing with it Namco!!!

Update: Supposedly some of the BottleRocket team have been added to the Afro Samurai team to finish the game. Maybe they had some trouble reading the source code or something, but that's just speculation on my part. On the flip side apparently BR weren't meeting deadlines, so that is why they were dropped in the first place. None-the-less it colors the game's vision, and if this game is good the sequel may very well not be.

Hmm... the game looks good... in graphics. But, this trailer didn't really display anything too amazing. The only thing that was really 'splatterhouse' was rick and some of the atmosphere. But aside from that.... I didn't see anything too spectacular. Aside from the 'ripping enemies apart and such.' that was awesome. But we need to see more gratuitous violence! We need abominable beasts! And of course.. the 2x4 splattering demons all over the wall. Hopefully we'll see more in the future

Now that I think about it he might have a more dramatic story than most video game characters, then or now.
