Hello!
I just bought this display yesterday, and by yesterday night, it was doing this. It is really annoying, the display just blacks out for anywhere between 10 secs - 4+ hours. If the USB hub is connected too, it even makes this sound, like you plug in something. The power LED just blinks in blue color, I can't even shut it off. It just keeps on blinking, no matter what I do. If I disconnect the power supply, after three blinks, it is gone. When I connect the power supply again, sometimes it goes back to life, but sometimes not. And even if it does, after a short time it starts the same thing again and again.

I've tried to connect the display with another DVI cable, I tried connecting it to the other DVI port on the graphics card. I've tried another power supply cable too.

I have seven more days to just send it back to from where I bought it, without any reasons, and I have 3 years repair service for it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • I work for Dell which is why I am asking these questions.

    (1) Did you buy the monitor directly from Dell or from a reseller?

    (2) From what country was the purchase made?

    (3) Did you already get it replaced?

    Hello!

    1) I brought if from ssos.hu, it's an online webshop, and I went to their location and picked it up. It had no signs of defects, scratches, whatsoever, even the cables were in original packaging. The box was opened though, and a part of the white thing inside was, well, broken.

    2) The shop is located in Hungary.

    3) I could get no replacement, because it was an already opened box, so it was cheaper, but I got a refund, without any hassle.

I was told that it was sent back - but they didn't know why -, but it has no problems.

I purchased another one from a different webshop, and it works quite well, though the bottom right corner has a little too much backlight. Other than that, it seems fine, everything works. I hope it will live a long life, maybe someday I'll add two more of them to create a 3 display setup, that would be great.

Hmm, to be clear, it was cheaper, because it was sent back, but not because of problems, but because the shop has an eight day buyback policy.
