  • Lol, just right click and create default mastering suite

  • @kennyb2142 not everyone uses the same devices. The mastering suite is just a general setup. This video shows how to set up your own and can set it up the way you need it each time.

  • hi! I have a problem. I don't have a master section. How can I add it into my song ?

  • @herrtubli what version of Reason do you have?

  • awesome, i make weird azz beats but dont know how to master - ill try following this NOW! check my channel for some unmastered, weird shizz ; )

  • @Rotarrius haha pre-sets are a good place to start when it comes to mastering but it's not a fix all. I have no experience in mastering a track or I would make more videos on how to do it. But if it's just you doing all the work, start with the presets and play around with them.

  • @MrBrandonPeoples Yes, I understand that. But the basic mastering suite includes all the equalizers and tools you have added here, and you are always able to add more into it anyways.

  • @MrB - Hi Brandon. Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind... I remember that I had a problem with my last project. I completed the instrumental in Reasons, but then I took it into T-Racks to master and when I tried to maximize loudness, the instrumental distorted. I am hoping to mix and master the instrumental in Record such that when I get to T-Racks for the final master, there is no distortion when I maximize loudness as I would have already done it in Record. We'll see. Thanks again.

  • @devauryourmom yes but it's an unnecessary step if you wrote the song in Reason. If someone is giving you a track to master and you're using Reason then yes, you will probably want to import it through NNXT

  • @mnash3 you can add the Mastering suite anytime you like, depending on if you understand how your routing works. I usually don't add the mastering suite until I'm finished with the song, but there is nothing wrong with setting up before you start a song, as long as you turn it off. Otherwise you would be mixing your song to a preset master, then when you go to actually master it, it will change everything.

  • Nice video... I have Record. I love it. I recommend it for all singer/songwriters who do all of their own work. I like the video. I have to see if I already have the Mastering suite already setup for my new music projects. I am still laying vocals and evenually have to get the mix done and then the mastering. I'm just hoping that I already have the Mastering suite set up for each song. Nice video.
