July 1999 - Schumacher crashes out on the 1st lap of the British Grand Prix. He broke his leg in two places in this crash. Filmed at Club Corner. I kept filming as we (the crowd) did'nt know what his condition was like. We all knew it was quite bad due to the amount of people helping him.

how did it schow that? irvine almost became world champion 1999 ;)... with schumachers help in malaysia. if you dont know what i'm talking about: MS was on pole and clearly the fastest in sepang, but he let irvine pass for the championship ;-) in suzuka irvine was simply too slow and hakkinen too quick.

  • No doubt all the people crying about the british crowd cheering will be tifosi. Would just like to say well done to you all for BOOING Vettel and Button on the Monza podium this weekend. also, given you all scream your heads off everytime a McLaren driver crashes out of a race, I suggest you all STFU.

  • @larsulrich63 if Senna was racing Schumacher would still be searching for his first World Championship now!

  • I remember seeing this i was actually there on the corner where he crashed!

  • Senna wouldve had Schuey for breakfast if he was still alive

  • I can hear a couple people saying "Irvine!" and "No it's Schumi" from 0:15 - 0:21

no, very much alive. he was in the korean grand prix last week, but received damage to his car and was unable to finish.

  • did he die

  • Thanx very much for posting this as it really captures the danger that always lurks in Formula One..Thank God Michael wasn't more seriously injured..! Peace. Rx

  • @russischbrot311 I understand your comment but if you had ever been to a Grand Prix you would understand the intelligence of the crowd..No-one but no-one attending a GP wants to see hugely talented drivers getting hurt in horrific accidents..that just isn't why people go to watch..A Grand Prix is the most unbelievable experience & one's respect for these guys in blatantly obvious..TV doesn't catch a tenth of the excitement and atmosphere so the only way to really 'get it' is to go to a GP! Rx

  • @McLarenFanJamm ...and a very good point you make there too..well said & here here !! Rx

  • also, the clapping as he is driven by in the ambulance is a sign of respect, muppets.
