I spelled it right - now! lol j/k Thanks for the heads-up, and don't forget to check out the stones on the beach. I've never found a Cape May diamond, but I keep collecting more and more stones that fascinate me, just for their colors and patterns.
The ship is sinking deeper with each passing year! I love Sunset Beach...so peaceful...I bought a beautiful framed photograph with two pieces of the ship sticking out of the water in a "V" with the sun setting.behind it...ohhhh, how I love it and Cape May...thanks!
I remember one time, when I was really young, i was at the beach with my friends, and I saw a very young little kid struggling to get out of the water. So I immediately jumped in their and saved him from the waves sucking him in. I Said to my friend "You get the kids bucket out of the water, I'll get the kid!" To this day, I still remember that time. What a great feeling it is, when you know you saved someones life.
Its not a boat its a ship. Its called the SS Antlantus and its been there since the 20s or sometthing. 1 of 12 concrete ships made for WWI to cut back on money used for steel ships, but this one never saw action and was one day tied up here, but a storm broke her lose and freeing it was impossible. It'll be gone sooner or later. Probably sooner. I've seen it only 6-7 times in my life and I'm only 15
I'd love to post the link to more information, but Google....errrr, YouTube won't let me. (Moronic considering their business!) Anyway google "Sunset Beach" + concrete ships, and one of the first few links will take you to the owner of the shops at Sunset Beach, who also tell all about the beach.
