What about a mix of formats; I have HD and QT file from DVD and a few photo stills. Does this make it more complicated or is it all the same?

@jmak2268 Have you digitised the footage and photos so that they are all now sitting in your FCP timeline/sequence? If so, then yes this tutorial will export everything on the timeline for HD on youtube - no extra complications.
