THIS IS FRIED GOLD. Sorry for shouting, but Nick + the blues = happy Louisiana girl.
-
nick sang loads of blues, you don't become a picker like he was without being able to play some blues. Fact! he loved em, he sure had em! respect to Nick and his blues
-
@RobPic914 you can actually tell by listening closely to his accent
-
@mistomen This not Nick Drake. He sang virtually no blues songs and his was more plaintive, even when singing black eyed dog.
-
Nick's bluesy voice is deeper, but very similar to Al Wilson's (Canned Heat)
-

@TheGlatisant Sorry to disappoint you, but this is definitely Nick Drake, unless his sister and the manager of his estate decided to try and pass off someone else as Nick Drake on the 'Family Tree' album...
By the way, Nick was very much influenced by blues as well as folk, and he's just singing in a more powerful way than usual.
