  • @Guyjharrison You should say an overweight, long term, vegetarian as there are a lot of people who switch to a vegetarian or vegan diet in order to lose weight, so to begin with they are still overweight. It is these people 'meat eaters' point out when trying to find flaws in veganism/vegetarianism.

  • @AmericanCritiquer hehe, I went down some sizes, too. I have one belt that is not long enough anymore, another belt that broke, and the one I have on is almost worn out. Someone please show me a fat vegetarian! =P

  • I lost a lot of weight when I became a vegan and it's what I talk about when asked how I got in good shape. The only problem with going vegan for me has been that I'm too cheap to buy a bunch of new clothes that fit me well so I wear pants that are 6 inches too big around the waist.
