  • Funny,my older sister 1st played the Butterfield record for me.Saw some Moby Grape on your site.There are some recent videos of them in Austin Texas playing Hey grandma and Omaha.Skip Spences son is now in the band.They are still awesome.

  • @williamtroth I have indeed watched their Austin videos. They sound AMAZING....Moby Grape that is. Very cool that your sis introduced you to Butterfield.My late brother Desmond gave me this album. I think I many post more from it at some point.   • @forfelix48 You do know this was written by Mike Nesmith of the Monkees right? And both he and Peter tork were musicians before the Monkees. Davey Jones had a solo album out and performed on stage prior to being a monkee, and Micky Dolenz, though an actor, was an excellent lead singer and became a solid drummer. It wasn't that they couldn't play, it was that Don Kirshner didn't allow them to play ... until he was fired and the Monkees wrote and played almost everything on their third album.
