  • "Dell Recommends Windows 7", "Dell Recommends Internet Explorer 9" Well, this endeavour lasted a while. Stupid MS bribery.

  • funny thing, this was made on a mac

  • just... just stfu

  • @TheDesertDragon Yeah, all computer manufacturers are paid by Microsoft to sell machines with Windows, and some hardware manufacturers are paid to don't give support to non-Windows OSes. In some way we can say they're forced.

By the way, ACER DID NOT make the EEEPC, it's from ASUS. And they weren't sold with Ubuntu, they were sold with Xandros, based on Corel Linux which is/was based on Debian. Acer made the Aspire One, with Linpus. Both machines were sold with Windows XP too.

  • @DanieLaixer

Actually, Dell is more or less forced to do this. You can find loads of Dell laptops with FreeBSD or Ubuntu on them. And then there's Acer, who initially put Ubuntu on the 3ePC.

Don't think some of these companies don't want to sell you a computer with free software. You couldn't be more wrong.

Windows just works best for the majority of users right now

  • all computer companies suck. i will always be with my own computer, CUSTOM BUILT!

  • fovorited, this is just too funny lmao

  • @Poradicus IBM is one of the biggest supporters and users of Linux, so I doubt that the "Proprietary Dragon" incorporates IBM.

  • I believe the Frog is Mac, because of the off branch single no Failure.

IBM is the Big Iron, and Mainframe = Dragon

Not sure where HP falls in lol.
