Swan River Museum

The Swan River Museum, located in Paola, is the official source of Miami County, Kansas historical information.
They are dedicated to the belief that we can learn from the past to better understand the present and future. They truly have something for everyone. Come and see themilitary displays, Native American and pioneer artifacts, vintage clothing, furniture, toys, fishing and sports equipment, and much more. They also feature books, maps, music, and exhibits dedicated to mid 1800 Border Wars and the 2nd U.S. oil well. Their Early History room has the Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne artifacts from the mission. They change one room each month for rotating displays. Visit them regularly and you'll discover something new each time.
