Salvador Dali appears on the Goodson-Todman game show "The Name's the Same" (January 3, 1955), with host Dennis James and panelists Roger Price, Bess Myerson, Gene Rayburn, and Joan Alexander.

TNTS ran from December 1951 to October 1955 and was another oddball variant of "What's My Line?", a 20-questions type of show in which the gimmick was that the contestants' real names were the same as celebrities, places, things, etc. Thus Woodrow Wilson, Virginia Beach, A. Mule, Will Bathe, etc., ad absurdum.

As on WML every show had an appearance by a celebrity guest, and the gimmick here was that the guest had a secret ambition ("Who I'd Like To Be--just in fun, of course") or a "secret wish", and the panelists had to guess the secret.

Dali appeared several times on game shows from this period. This is the second of two appearances that he made on TNTS. His first appearance can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78SiVt-zFzk

  • The host is awesome though.

  • "Are my seams straight?" What a douche.

  • This is one that I wasn't expecting. Great job!
