@M3PanoS fault these inaccuracies exist now in the New Testament. He was probably very surprised to discover them as anyone. Correction: I meant his dedication to his faith...

@M3PanoS I agree it is bad for any one to disbelieve in God because, in their view, no God could allow people to SUFFER as they do, etc. And this is what he says is the reason he became an atheist, not from the contradictions or discrepancies he's found in the Bible. I think his dedication to the his faith to the point of wanting to continue to grow as a Christian by understanding the passages of the Bible, etc. is what lead him to what now he espouses about the Bible. It's not his

@1122stardust ya ERRman is totally unbiased...

James White is a bias fundamentalist christian. All authors have mistakes. At least Bart Ehrman is exposing the bandaids and inconclusive theologies of christianity. Barts thesis statements are right on. No autographs of scripture, no absolute certainty the bible is what was originally. Christians are horrendous to think bible today is what god intended. Bart has studied countless manuscripts, james white hasnt. Dont be daft. Agnostics are being genuine, christians are wishful thinkers.

@JesusOrMuhammad Erhman is not a polished speaker like those trained for evangelicalism, which is why you should read his books.
Try watching his 'history of the Bible' on YT.

@JesusOrMuhammad Good comeback, any attempt to deny my assertion or argue in favour of your sky fairy? No? Just a silly comment, well, what else can we expect from someone over the age of five or six who believes in an invisible friend?

@CalumGilhooly Get lost moron

@JesusOrMuhammad I guess your moniker indicates a certain level of indecision on your part over who is the real messiah. Well, I reckon they are both big bags of shit. My reason for thinking that is not from a condition of ignorance but rather from a well thought out position of knowledge & reason. If either of those men were amssiah or a true prophet of the one true Gob, then everyone who read their fairy tales would be converted to their faith, they aren't so it's all shite!
The fact that Ehrman abandoned Christianity due to the problem of evil speaks volumes as to how in-tune he was with the faith in the first place...dear God that's a horrible reason.

I should have figured that John Stewart would say something like that, but to think Bart Ehrman condescends like that to layman such as myself.
