I love this movie.

My God, can you imagine hearing news that the two adversarial blocs had commenced open hostilities?

Keep calm and carry on my ass. My kids are about to have a purple Afro.

If something like this were to happen i would pack up as many tins of food, bottles of water/Irn bru, blankets, fuel and shelter material into my car as I could. And piss straight off up to the highlands. Don't know how much good it would do me through, in the event of britain being nuked I think the entire country would suffer horrendously.

@PaulUmbarger That would of been battle field nuclear weapons. or nuclear subs. There much faster than the B-52's delivering nukes. Back in 1965 the BBC's nuclear war docu drama Wargame postulated that the entire war would start off by such a launch of these weapons against foward Soviet invading forces, which would be crossing the West German plane.

@SpermCannon Do you think they'd have any special offers if nuclear war was going to be imminent?
