@batigol47 You are correct about Polio and sanitation, however, in places where sanitation was poor, individuals were less likely to be eating fresh fruits and vegetables, the very things coated with DDT. Diet and sanitation historically do help prevent diseases and illness...unless the food is coated with toxins, of course.
@dwkjo This video ignores the fact that autism rates were 1 in 5000 in the 1980's, among other things. And bringing up the Polio/DDT link immediately discredits the "polio cured by vaccine" statement and makes a thinking person investigate further, once the vaccination 'holy grail' has been brought into question.
I think Penn & Teller destroyed the "don't do vaccines" argument
.
Basically: Even if vaccines caused autism, the odds of your child getting it are much, much smaller than their odds of dying of some horrific disease that a vaccine could prevent
@econogate Another unproven claim. SV40 has never been shown to cause cancer in humans. Further it has not been an issue for a generation. If it were indeed a cause, there would already have been a spike in specific forms of cancer unaccounted for by other reasons. Yet, there has not been one.
@darkdragonsoul99 Guess you haven't done much checking: metallic mercury (the one you probably know), methyl mercury, ethyl mercury, mercury sulfide, mercuric chloride... plus tons of other commonly found mercury compound. Different types of mercury have different effects on the body because they are metabolized differently.

I honestly am not sure what to believe anymore. HOw can theories be proven correct about vaccinations?

@batigol47 Well, polio was the only one that goes against that trend but many people also got a nice cancer present with their polio shots too!

@econogate Ironically sanitation led to increases in polio.
