Everyone needs to remember. Those women physically attacked him. He walked away. They both approached him, one in front another in back. He struck them until they fell to the ground. He stopped and yelled stay down* one of them proceeded to get up so he struck her again. How in the hell is this not self defense?

@mary082472 I never questioned the self defense... I questioned at what point does self defense cross the line to a counter attack. If you look at the actions of the employees, he struck them again while the camera was not on him... AFTER the girl in black tried to get up once. The girls were wrong and deserved their asses kicked, no question... but how much of an ass kicking is my question.

i guess he learned to defend himself like the cops do..except they usually handcuff you..then beat you..as far as going too far the women went too far when they jumped the counter!!

@kymopar You didn't answer the question. Everyone believes I am defending the instigators! Hell no! they got what they deserved but I also think they got a little more than they deserved. You're right, the justice system sucks here and it looks like vigilantism is alive and well now. I guess its a symptom of the times we live in. It is no longer self defense when they no longer pose a threat, they instantly pose an add'l threat after they were instructed to stay down and they proceeded to get up. If he had allowed them to get up, these women who were bold enough to strike a man in his face then climb over a counter and chase after him after he walked away could have harm him and everyone in there. If it was me in that situation and I got them down, if you move again, you die. I mean put yourself in his shoes.

We can't see the CCTV footage from behind the counter so it's not fair to comment re: reasonable force or not.

No released video shows exactly what those 2 women were doing behind there on the floor. Just because somebody is hit a few times and is on the floor does not mean the danger is gone. You can still shoot with 1 arm.

I think they were moving around (probably in pain but who knows at the time) and it provoked further hits from the pole from the cashier.

Sorry Ron but if it were white police officers beating a black man the jumped the counter and slapped a white woman you'd be telling a totally different story.
