  • Hey Anne I just got done reading Christ Life Out of Egypt and may I say it was wonderful Thanks

I just recently went to St Louis Cathedral in New Orleans while I was reading it on a trip

You really helped me understand the Holy Family more. I have looked in many places to find who are the three women above the tabernacle in the cathedral St. Louis can you help. Are they Mary Jacobe Mary Magdalene and Mary Salome? LOL as I said I'm trying to figure it out. Mother Mary has her own chapel.

    Thanks

  • Dear Lovuian --- Unfortuantely I'm not familiar with the altar in the Cathedral. But I'm sure some one out there can tell you. Maybe there are Youtubes of the cathedral somewhere. Or a book with details. Thanks for your kind words. Anne.

  • Answers from Anne: A memoir on my conversion, Called Out of Darkness, will be published this Fall (2008). ---- annericesite is not unofficial. It just deals with my older books on various topics. This site deals with my books on Christ the Lord. Thanks, Anne.

  • Anne,

I too find your testimony encouraging. Have you thought about writing more about your conversion - how you have discerned God's will or advise to others on how?

  • I taught that someone creative, open and 'agile' (with pen and paper for example) as you would be much more deep then this and more wise then just another narrow Catholic (and with that not allowing any healthy and more then necessary skepticism for individual evolution and true insight of real self and real reality) . Now, people, I'm not saying anything against Christ and/or True teachings but if you walk on the Path of Wisdom there is no space for exclusiveness which they often practice..

  • Your passion for great biblical scholarship is truly infectious...I tremble at the grace shown to you. Many thanks for the recommendations (I've actually discovered D.A. Carson not too long ago and may I also point you to John Walton- a great modern academic-and Timothy Keller for his new masterpiece The Reason for God)...Kudos!

  • Wow Thanks for answering so fast Your Awesome

My Book club in Texas just did your book. We had a very thought provoking discussion on the book

We were all different religions and everyone loved your take on Joseph. He kinda gets passed over in the gospels. I had a different take on Mother Mary but as we discussed it. We came up that Mother Mary will blossom in your later works. So I have to get the next book.

    Keep writing your Awesome :)

  • To celticboy333 --- Check out the history by Christopher Dawson, a brilliant writer and convert to the church. Beautiful books. Also Dairmaid MacCulloch's The Reformation is huge but worth it. He is Anglican, but ecumenical and objective. Thanks for asking. Anne.

  • Sounds exciting!

  • Anne,

I find your testimony encouraging and inspirational. I am a participant in a weekly bible study. In the summer we pick a book to read and discuss. We would like to study the history of our church including the saints. One summer we discussed Screwtape Letters and loced it. What would you suggest?
