New Labour attempt to launch their latest poster campaign, but the whole thing crumbles as there is a car crash just out of sight (but you can hear it). Ironically, the crash was by a New Labour supporter who wanted to see the poster launch.

This is an ironic clip as it shows the entire New Labour general election campaign as one big car crash.

Recorded from Channel 4 News, 30 April 2010.

  • Rather than going to see if the person involved is Ok or not, Mandleson continues talking shit. Probably on a bigot at the wheel anyway, fuck 'em says Labour.

  • Notice how they just stood there, like fuckin idiots

  • Such a good metaphor, something goes wrong, they carry on. LOL this is a classic.

  • LMAO this never gets old

  • This is so awesome, also..fuck labour.

  • lol if i can qoute Ian Hislop. "A metaphor became real life"

  • alastair darlings expression was priceless, a "you couldn't make it up" flicker in his eyes, (and eyebrows) albeit briely. Mandleson characteristically blank, Brown utterly blank and stoical. Harman changed gears on her expression just at the right moment, slight footing on the leg to soften the impact.

  • Lord Mandelson cares not for your petty car crashes. He has more important things to do.

  • @fatalist6o9 I would have thought EXACTLY the same thing had I not been there. A bin lorry, going round the roundabout, slowed down so the occupants could shout abuse. The driver was 'rubber-necking' and didn't see the car, on his offside trying to exit the roundabout. He clipped the rear corner and sent it skidding into the shelter. I WISH I had my decent cameraphone with me that day (it conked out 2 days earlier) - I'd have had the best footage of it !! (sigh).

  • HEY!! I'm on this video @ 0:14 (wearing the dark blue hoodie, filming the crashed car). I was standing there when the car crashed!! That Island is notorious for these types of incidents. It's a shame one happened during Labour's visit - ALL the PAPPS / HACKS ran over to film / photo it.

The blonde woman with the satchel was 'SpecialBranch' - kept whispering into her collar

  • @CelticReject Its not, its Ed Balls handwriting.

  • If only Gordon Brown had ran to the scene , he would have of won

    the election ! Lol
