nobody said this type of siren used in usa. the ambulances are like the type you get in usa, i'd much rather have the uk type as they aren't so big and heavy, a lot lighter on fuel and a bit faster
-
how slow do they need to go!!!!!!! someone could be dying

@emt89 mayb it would be better if car druivers will get used to multiple urgent cars following eachother, expiting only 1 urgent v]car to drive by is not logic, just stop pull over and wait till ALL the urgent cars are passed by.
-
@armyboy1207 they can go fast, but most just don't drive fast. When you look at the on-board video from the Amsterdam FD station Willem you see how fast we can actually go even with the big rescue egines and aerial ladders. Don't think that any FD (or EMS) in the US would go like they do

@mrledfeb Would you prefer if the ambulance makes an accident??
-
You Eouro's would be amazed at how fast American cars can go.

@garf1eld029 The swiss don't believe in motor vehicles. So they have to source outside for their emergency vehicles.
-
@garf1eld029 whats wrong with that? Australia and most other countries use the mercedes sprinter as an ambulance but u dont see people asking "why are they using a german made vehicle?"
-
@markusgl1 An ambulance is not measured in speed but in maintaining life, thus the US ambulance are self sufficient due to the distances, a few cities, including Geneva have opted for these types.

And why do they have American made ambulances?
garf1eld029 2 years ago
Because, they bought American Ambulances perhaps because they are big.

why do they always have that car tagging along... you should not have multiple ems vehicles following each other if at all possible, and for sure not that close. ppl only expect one ems vehicle to pass, so there is a greater risk of mvc happening.

The car witch follow the ambulance is a cardiomobile with a specialist's dector.
