@TheCowboyup13 - The TV camera was stored away on the side of the lander and lowered into position after landing. Once mission control confirmed the camera was in the correct position and working, then everything was ready for the astronauts to descend the ladder and step out onto the moon's surface. After leaving the lander, the astronauts then placed the TV camera on a tripod to continue filming their activities.

The moon's surface is actually retro-reflective. It does bounce light, but on the same direction as the incident light.

This guy did similar experiments to Mythbusters that show the same thing, albeit with a much cruder setup.
He even does one better by removing the item from the surface to show that air is not a significant contributing factor to lighting in experiments at this scale.

Yeah put some mirror behind the object and there you got your reflected light. Was there any bump in the surface to light only the astronaut?

@sofuckyouyeah It wasnt Fox news, it was Fox broadcast. Regardless, everything we hear about this "black evil government" says they wouldnt tolerate ANY exposure, even from Fox. Fox said "fake" and the gov did nothing.

@sofuckyouyeah FOX TV aired a "it was fake" documentary in 2000, not once but twice. So why didnt the gov pay them off? They obviously dont give a rats ass what the idiots say
