Last two cents I'll throw at you. I'm a marathon runner, and unlike all my fellow geezers, I've never suffered an injury. You're a professional athlete, so stay away from NSAIDs (ibuprofen et al). For muscle soreness, I am surprised how effective arnica gel is (you have to pretend not to know how homeopathic remedies are made). Talk to a sports med doctor, but I suggest daily glucosamine/chondroitin, calcium, a D3, extra vitamin C, and a multivitamin (B complex w/ iron--given your gender).
Do you custom make your own hoops? I ask, because if memory serves, the original WHAM-O! product was ridiculously light.
I also remember--several years ago, now--that one of Cirque du Soliel's traveling shows had a hoop person. I want to say the show was Saltimbanco...but that could be wrong. I also want to say that you're better--but I really don't remember.
Still, I'd say it'd be worth your while to have your manager send a tape to the Cirque du Soliel people.
