One can believe in both science and God at the same time, that is if you can process two things at once :-) In reality you will gain a lot more wisdom and understanding of science if you leave a creator in the picture instead of focusing on self creation. But few people can do that because it robs them of their self-esteem. Only a stupid person thinks this way if you ask me me, have some common since folks.
If you hate God or religion then please think about all the people that Stephen has offended. God doesn't have to cancel out science and science doesn't have to cancel out God. What America really needs now is to give credit where credit is due, and give thanks to our firemen, our troupes and all the people that give of themselves everyday unselfishly without ever asking for anything in return. The message of the cross that someone gave their life for others really relates to what we need in America today. Whether you think the bible was just a bunch of made up stories and Jesus was just some crazy masochist it just doesn't matter. Think about it! Whether real or symbolic, the message is still the same, that's how you know that story had to be written by someone other then man cause its just not in our nature to understand this simple thing. Be a hero, do something good for somebody today is the message, expecting nothing in return, this is how we can stop wars and people from hating each other, put a little love you your heart. Hey that sounds like a song :)
How smart are us humans?
We try to unlock the secrets of the universe with super colliders costing billions of dollars hoping to create another dimension in which we can see through to finally explain the origins of the universe and in the end all we see are collided distortions of a manmade device. We create violent video games that perpetuate insensitivity for our younger generation. We use the latest technology of the internet to run our government and banking affairs that hackers can break into. We send a man into space at a cost of 86 million dollars and we can't even stop the world from hate, war, riots, starvation and hunger! We use the internet to view pornography that destroys one's morality and teaches our children a lack of self respect, and the list goes on and on. If you can call this smart, then tomorrow I'll apply for a government research grant to build a time machine so we can go back to the 50's when people had more common sense, they also had better taste in music too. I just watched the American music awards a few nights ago and was waiting for them to play music...oh well, I guess they forgot to play any :(
