@henryandwater They can't because they are computer generated Gannets (a native New Zealand-Australian Bird) That is probably the most magic piece of the full ad.

I've never been to NZ, but I've listened to this song so many times, from Hayley Westenra to the traditional indigenous Maori version that now, watching this Air NZ ad, even I'M getting tears in my eyes--especially since I now know the story behind the words and melody...and I have a love for the sound of the Polynesian languages--sooo musical!

Much love 4 this advert. The combination of the visuals, Kiri Te Kanawa and Tem Morrison are brilliant. Love Rico, but it would be great if they brought this back.

Oh my God, I remember this add, and I really want to cry every time I see it. I'm from Paraguay, South América, I went to NZ in 1995 as an exchange student... I lived there for a year, New Zealand is the best country in the world, I really fell in love of this beautiful country... I hope someday I go back to this paradise, everthing in NZ is wonderful, you new zealanders must be proud to be from there... Greetings fom Paraguay...
