How we Potty Trained

Just a quick requested video on how we potty trained Deacon...

This worked for us but of course not for everyone! And we may be potty training Drake for a year! lol- totally depends on the child and whatever works best for them!

Oh and we use one of those little potty chair inserts to on our toilet (the one that sits on our seat and makes a smaller seat for him) for when he needs to go (-: (about $10 at Target/Wal Mart/etc.) he has the Cars one (-:

Somehow I missed this one! I totally agree with you...I didn't know better with my first child and potty training took 6 months (I started because my second was coming and I didn't want 2 in diapers, lame)! With my second I learned my lesson, and even though I had my second and third in diapers at the same time, waiting until he was ready was TOTALLY worth it!

My nephew was so used to peeing outside that when he went to daycare, he tried to pull down his pants on the playground to pee!

looks like deacon has been potty trained for a long time before you guys decided to put him in underwear. both of mine were trained at around 22 months of age. Let them pick out some cool undies and encouraged them not to ruin them. That was it!

Isn't that the truth! The first few weeks are a pain in the butt because they have to go NOW! And hey IM not above peeing in a parking lot if I absolutely had no other choice ;) who has time to be a diva :)

This video was super insightful so thank you for making it! My son is 17 months old and ive been dancing around the idea of at least intoducing the "small potty" because he's at the point where he tells me when he's going number two and is very interested in sitting on the potty but after watching this i think im going to hold off a little because he is still pretty young and there is plenty of time and there is no way this momma is spending a year potty training haha
