Opening movie from Dragon Force II for the Sega Saturn. It was never released outside of Japan. It takes place 500 years after Dragon Force.
(Yes, that is Teiris at the beginning of the video! She has been in suspended animation since the times of the original Dragon Force. Her ending in Dragon Force is the canon ending, according to Dragon Force II)
So, what does this mean? Is Teiris the main protagonist of the first game?

This sucks. It should have left Japan to the world. Japan would have profited very much.

Dude I feel your pain. I just imported the second one and am trying my hardest to understand what the hell I'm doing and what's going on.

Iron Storm and Dragon Force are the 2 best games of all time. And I say that with all seriousness. I put more hours into those games than any other probably. You can throw Guardian Heroes in there if we're talking 3 best games. I recently got Dragon Force 2 import and am crying my eyes out wishing I could read Japanese.

yea many of the games disappointment me with changes in artwork. Ys for once, i am actually fine with since the changes isnt that big ( in fact i think its better each time).

series experienced a lot. This is also true with Phantasy Star III, it defers from I, II and IV.
It is always better to retain the original artists and designers (and directors if possible) from the original release... The Langrisser series is a good example of continuous character design, with the exception of Langrisser Millennium on the Dreamcast...

What many Game developers don't know, or pre-determinately ignore, is that some games are well remembered and loved for their character designs.. Change that.. and you end up changing every thing...
I remember loving Shining Force II on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive, But I never accepted the characters like the way I did in Shining Force I... this goes true for many RPGs, I experienced the same thing with the Ys series minutely, Alundra 2 also suffered character design change, the Shining
