Live version of the track Island in the Sun from Japan in '84. Yngwie is awesome - Graham Bonnet is not really at his best.

  • you gotta understand singing live is really tough as opposed to studio work. especially when you're singing three to four times out of the week.

  • It doesn't matter how good you are musically or technically, you cannot disrespect everyone else in the band by playing that loud and that wild! Anyone who thinks that is great playing is deluded.

He solos all through the song, and ruins it for everyone. this was a good song on "No Parole".

No wonder Bonnet is struggling, no vocalist can compete with Marshalls turned upto 11!!!

It's the start of the "ego" years......

Then he moved on to Rising Ego....sorry Force!!!!

  • Man Graham was having a serious off night. I could have sung this much better at that time.

  • 2:06 is the best part of the entire career of Alcatrazz

  • Wow, yngwie is great shape in this..

  • The reason that Graham Bonnet's vocals are off here is because he is singing at the top of his lungs to compete with Yngwie's guitar. You can see him signaling to the soundman at different times to turn vocals up. Bonnet has said in interviews that Yngwie's volume was a problem live

  • @JacqueShredo HE SOUNDS ALRIGHT IN THE STUDIO ? DUDE WHO IS BETTER IN THE STUDIO THAN GRAHAM...NOOOOOOOBODY.......ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REPRODUCE HIS STUDIO WORK...GIVE THE GUY A BREAK ..CHECKOUT RAINBOW LIVE IN DONNINGTON AND SAY HE IS OK LIVE....ALL THE BEST DUDE

  • It's my point too

  • Bonnet always sang at the very top of his range, which ,in the studio, was fine since he had the luxury of taking his time and resting his voice in between takes. But live, after 2 shows in a row, his voice was shot and he would frequently wind up sounding like he does in this video.

  • THis ones for Japan, Sorry for your loss, it feels like a thousand great lightbulbs burned out suddenly and the force of Rock is weakened,
