The Other Congressman Paul - Paul Broun of Georgia

Are there any other Ron Paul's in Congress? When it comes for standing up for limited government in a Constitutional Republic, Representative Paul Broun (M.D.) from Georgia's 10th District is doing his best to be in the same league with Dr. No himself. Draw your own conclusion from his speech at the Birch Society Council Dinner in Atlanta on October 17, 2009.

My first encounter with Paul Broun was as I was walking into the Canon office building in 2007 with some fellow JBS members to hand out copies of The New American magazine special issue on the expansion of NAFTA. Dr. Broun, who had only weeks earlier gained his seat in a special election, noticed the North American Union flag on our magazine and initiated a conversation by saying, "North American Union? I know what that is about and I'm against it." He then impressed all of us by producing a pocket Constitution from his suit pocket to quote chapter and verse from. Probably was the only copy of the Constitution in the vicinity of the Canon office building that wasn't behind a sheet of glass being used for a wall ornament.
