This system cannot rescue anyone in the event of a real emergency. Even being fireproof, it sits right against the building. In the case of 9/11, the flames coming out of the windows would have melted it in one pass. Oddly, the thing left out of this video is the EXPERT with the remote control that is required to operate the gondolas.

i just saw it could be used in fire escape too, so its not so bad. it is actually very nice! but very limited use only, the wall has to be completely flat and the windows has to match too.
