@nagaempress If you compare it to a Sierra Zip stove or a Bush Buddy (powered or not) the prices is quite affordable . If you are looking for a fan powered that does not require batteries then i suggest the bio-lite stove. It is rather large, bulky and the projected price is high.
@drreddog321 I made a crank light charger for this stove. BTW the vital stove does not require the fan if you run out of power you simply raise the fire box off the support but about 3/16" and then it acts more like a wood furnace. There is a notch in the side (fan side) that acts like a air vent on a wood furnace.
Doesn't seem like a good survival tool. Requires batteries to power a fan, both of which both could fail in a survival situation. Would be a good home back up incase of a power failure.
@nagaempress I too would prefer the Stovetec stove to this. Requirement of electricity is a downside. Small size is cool but this stove will not be on my list to purchase.
Do you have to use batteries to use this stove or does it work fine just using 100% nature? Seems like the batteries are only for making the flame bigger using a fan? Great looking stove!
Im having a hard time justifying the price. I am looking into an emergency stove and I know that Stovetec has one that is huge and insulated for about the same price. Is it that you are paying for the compact size then?

@nagaempress Search youtube for hobo stoves, tin can stoves, or an alcohol stove like the Vargo Decagon.
