The picture is of myself and my too long to be gone daughter from my first marriage. When my first wife and I split up, Jessica was only a baby (about 6 months old). Long story short I never got to see her after the divorce until 20 years later. She found me through old acquaintances and persistence. She wanted to invite Tor and I to her wedding, which we happily attended. They, Robert and Jessica, went to Africa for their year long honeymoon trek and in their travels, they brought back a few Djembe's and presented one of them, ( the most decorated, beautifully carved drum) to me at our first Christmas together. I was in tears!!! It's so good to be able to go to washington and see Rob, Jessica and our new little Grand Daughter Seven!
All our Love to all,
Life is good!

Person in the background is our youngest daughter Mariah's first boyfriend Brandon. He's still a good friend of the family.

ABOUT THE SONG

Cat Stevens 2nd guitar player, Alun Davies, has Cat produce this his first solo album Daydo.

Recorded in 1972.

Alun Davies is -

Acoustic guitar - Jeremy Taylor

I like to find the most obscure / rare music. This is one of those records.

I used to spend hours in a dusty/musty dark room (upstairs of the record store in Duluth,Minnesota, before & during the time I worked there) going through thousands trying to guess which one is worth the effort... you have to, there was literally thousands waiting to be discarded. I just can't process the thought of what didn't get saved!

  • So- do you play the djeme? Nice photo; great song!

  • @4rainbowed Hi, yes both my wife and I play the Djembe, not in a traditional way but we use it as a percussion accompanyment. If you browse thru our uploaded videos, you'll find many examples of what I mean...but if I had a choice I would look for the video called "corn liquor". Thanks for watching! Peace
