  • Sally -- Thanks for all that you do for our Earth and her inhabitants. You are an inspiration for me at Grace Episcopal Church in New Bedford, where we are just beginning to look at the impact our parish has on the environment. Hopefully, Interfaith Power and Light will provide us with some guidance as we develop a ministry to the environment we live in, including the sea which provides New Bedford, and thus the nation, with such bounty as scallops, lobsters, and cod (not much of that left!).

  • @Mikeishere1st FYI Mikeishere: Whether human-produced CO2 has an affect on global temperatures or not - We are using resources (water, fuel, timber, etc.) at a rate faster than they can renew themselves. Waste is piling up landfills. And the undeniable smog lingering over many cities is unhealthy for us.

Also, there is essentially no scientific research (unless funding by energy companies like Shell) that does not find a link between human actions and increasing CO2 levels in the atmosphere.

  • I have GREAT NEWS Rev Bingham! As it turns out there is no measurable affect on global temperature from the tiny amount of CO2 humans add to the air! The good Lord put CO2 on the planet as the GAS OF LIFE that nourishes all the plants and keeps them green. God saw that it was good and that the plants would bring us and the animals the oxygen we need to breathe.

Don't believe the false prophets of doom who deceive us for their own evil purposes. (See Matthew 24:24)

  • haha...you women that ignore the biblical mandate for men preachers are spiting in God's face. i notice you are on the far left on all the issues. rave on
