  • since WHEN is cape breton stepdancing french?????

  • @kateca85 Leahy says their style is a combination of French-Canadian, Scottish (Cape Breton step dancing came from the oldest form of Scottish) and Irish. A lot of crossover ;)

  • simply awesome ! and all the Leahy girls are gorgeous too!

  • I think i need to address a few things as a formerly competative Irish Dancer. First off this is not Irish at all. This style is called French-Canadian Stepdancing and developed on its own in the lumber camps of Quebec. While the style may look Irish, it developed fully right here in Canada.

  • @morigue I learn step dancing weekly from Chrissy Quigley- one of the Leahys. And knowing both Donnell and Natalie quite well I can say without a doubt that the style is French-Canadian. Regardless- can we just appreciate the talent involved nonetheless?

  • Never get tired of watching the Leahy family!!

  • I noticed Chanda hardly faces the audiance. She's got spunk, though.

  • What's the groove the violins are doing? Does anyone have sheet for one or two bars of this rhythm (violin grooves)?

  • I DON.T CARE WHAT FORM OF DANCING IT IS , ALL I KNOW THAT THEY ARE AWESOME AND DO A VERY GOOD JOB AT IT , SO JUST ENJOY THE VID,, THANKS ,, LEAHY IS ONE HELL OF A BAND. AND THE SISTERS ARE INDEED HOT ,,,,,,,,

  • That looks like so much fun!!!
