We are in Dungeness bay, about two miles offshore. We pulled 16 crab out of this one pot! 9 were female so they had to be put back. We may not get paid $40,000 but it's just as exciting to pull a full pot for us as it is for the big boys. Total for three pots was 53! We kept 10, (legal limit here), of the best and released the rest for another day. I will post the other parts as I finish editing them. Part 2 is not for the faint of heart as it is the quick dispatching and cleaning of the crab before cooking.

I know. I warned him but he still forgot that the mic on the camera was so close.

  • why it needs to be measured?

  • @h5n5y0rd5ng0

Regulations here in Washington say you can only keep dungeness crab that are male, have a hard shell, and are at leased 6 inches across.

  • @SongOfWhiteWolf Greeting White wolf I think I got you beat on that pot you pulled well at least on a pct. rate.

Went out last Thursday around area 9# with my brother's friend from Vegas(he wanted to crab-fish) ok so after a 45min soak on the pots the first pull we get blanked, 2nd pull produces 10 dungies of which 8 were legal keepers man a really nice pot i think i landed a pot on a little shelf were the crab hang out or something.

So we limited out on the next pot.

    WTG!

No job yet so looks like another season gone by. Hope to find the funds for a salmon license.

  • Mmmmmm. I'm here is Sequim, give me a call, I'll bring the butter... :))

  • @Nick75987 It may not be something they sell online. I'm not sure what you have in your area but look for a major sports shop of some kind. Because crabbing is so big here, almost all the major chains carry them. The closer you live to the ocean the better your chances of finding them. Good luck.

  • @SongOfWhiteWolf srry to bother you but i looked on walmart ,com and fred myers but still cant find one

  • @Nick75987

They sell at Wallmart, Fred Myers, and most sports shops.
