  • brilliant. loved your rendish of escape! aswell. moved. xx

  • Thanks :-)

This summer I'm rerecording more from the hours score, as now I've practiced a bit more...

    (that didn't mean to rhyme...)

  • The hours have to be one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. But all of the actors did a great job, Nicole Kidman played a great V.W. and I love the music to the movie too.

  • I loved nicole kidman's performance. She was fantastic. Oh, read the book if you haven't yet! I saw the movie and then read the book and love both (LOVE the music), but the book has so much more (naturally).

  • whats tye book called? the hours??

  • Yep. "The Hours. Music from the motion picture arranged for solo piano". (composer, Philip Glass)

  • Sad or melancholic music tends to have a beautiful, enchanting quality, that touches a part of your heart. Yeah, lively, happy music is nice but 'dark' music is special...

  • You perform the song so beautifuly... congrats

  • seriously i will pay you what ever you want if you re-record this with the camera over the keys so that i can learn to play it. i have been looking to learn to play only this song for 2 years plleeeaaasseeee help me out

  • bird funeral.... do you think she'd like roses??

  • it sounds like a remix of "Morning passages" :(

  • I also have to agree with that. In fact, when I think about it, the songs that have not only been my favorites but also have remained my favorites for years and years are always the darker ones. But then again I'm a sucker for melancholic music any way. My playlist here on YouTube is proof of that as I only put my absolute absolute favorites in there. They go much much deeper and pull out of you all kinds of emotions that only melancholic music can do really.

  • yes, i share the same opinion, it might be monotonous for those who cant apreciate, but its profoundly deep, and it can move( at least me cuz i saw and loved the movei) a variety of emotions, its amazing, i use this soundtrack while im reading some books..

  • exactly...technically his music is not very difficult...but the emotions needed to perform these pieces is incredible.

I love the simplistic yet profound nature of Glass' music

  • You perform this really well! However; I do think that Philip Glass should remain a composer for films, I just don't think that his music would stand up as a performance piece. Nevertheless, a great performance here.

  • stupendo bravo

  • Yes without any problems you will play this, his music is not so hard, just take it slow. It's more in your hands to make it into music, not techniqually hard.

  • so melancholic and real... It takes you to a 'black and white' dream...
