SCROOGE 1970 Version Albert Finney...The BEST Version EVER!.avi

This is the CLASSIC version of Scrooge with Albert Finney which was the BEST Scrooge ever released! Why they don't show it on TV anymore is completely baffling! Watch in its entirety if you choose to.

If you feel like just watching the ending (but I would strongly suggest watching the whole thing), go to about the 1 hour 40 minute mark and watch the finale which is about 10 minutes, especially the part when Scrooge gives Tiny Tim the carousel and the choreography sequence that follows.

For people who remember this when it was released in 1970, THIS is a timeless classic!

For the newbies born after that who are used to the internet, CGI, bots, scripting, flash in the pan things that are "here today and gone tomorrow" and anything before the word "computer" came to life, watch and see how a REAL movie was made!

NO special effects, NO trick photography, Gifted actors that didn't end up in jail or on a tabloid magazine for illicit things they have done (versus what you read about today). Watch and see the entire finale and choreography done in one take for the last 10 minutes of the movie at the end!!!! You cant say that about any movies made today!

NOTE: This movie has the hell scene! None of the other versions of this do that, which was an original adaptation from the book! Very tastefully put together though.

A movie about giving back to others. Wouldn't it be great if banks and high paid executives who don't like sharing with others learned the message in this movie! May the same be said of us to give back to others not only on December 25th, but year round!

This is what CHRISTMAS is all about!

Do what I do, watch it repeatedly several times , not just at christmas especially, but whatever life throws you a curveball. Remember the positive thoughts that were instilled to scrooge, and remember, " I like life" that the ghost of christmas present taught to him. Keepme the spirit all year long! I am so happy that this movie brought positive to you just as it does me. Happy new year to you!

Albert Finney is an awesome actor. He is like Paul Muni in this respect, half the time you don't recognize him. 'The Gathering Storm' was a wonderful film. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for posting, this is my favorite version and a childhood tradition!!! I didn't manage to watch it over Christmas this year and I've had the nagging feeling that I missed something.

The same to you, you should also watch the 1984 one. Together with this one those are the 2 best. The 1970 one is more jolly and funny with good songs and the 1984 one is more dramatic and emotional.
