The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) honours Dr Lim Hock Siew on Singapore's 46th National Day.
Dr Lim was detained by the Singapore government in 1963 under the infamous Operation Coldstore.
The detention lasted 19 years - the second longest among all who were ever detained under Singapore's laws. Mr Chia Thye Poh was incarcerated for 23 years and a further 9 under house arrest.
